Hello, my online alias is KappinSpaulding. I live in a suburb of Chattanooga, Tn. I actively do my best to increase my disaster preparedness. I started writing this blog in March of 2011 to help teach my readers as I learn. I use zombies as the given disaster for entertainment value. It'll keep you reading.
I grew up in the woods and could go for as long as I wanted without seeing anyone other than family but was only 25 minutes away from downtown. We had livestock, a garden, a natural water supply and more. My parent's place is a preppers dream. A few of years ago, just before the birth of my son,I bought a house in city limits and have neighbors all around. That is when I realized that I could be royally screwed if some sort of disaster struck. I got to work with some quickness!
As of right now my preps are no where near where I want them to be. What I have done, and will continue, is educated myself extensively on the subject of disaster preparedness. I am confident that my survival skills will keep my family and I alive if the **it hits the fan but my preps will make that task much easier. My preps will improve and my readers will learn from me as they do.
